The proof that, when we howl together, we stand up to fear.
To better understand Takashi Urashima's vision and the concept behind The End is Fear collection we made him the following questions:
Q: What is your greatest fear?
A: The greatest fear is to die before my wife and leaving her behind.
The greatest fear is losing what I want to protect. But at the same time, there is also the happiness that I was able to continue to protect it until the end.
The fear and the happiness may exist at the same time.
Q: What is the meaning of your design?
A: “The tied wolf”.
The cruelest, deprived of freedom, yet with proud and fearless eyes. It means knowing the value of freedom and understanding the risks of freedom. The real fear is thinking that you can't do anything.
I imagined the portrait of El Solitario in action in a difficult and inconvenient world..
Q: What is your preferred trick to overcome fear and push yourself into the unknown?
Draw spells (illustrations) on the battle tools to overcome fear and return to safety. I hope it gives the viewer fun and courage.
