Like a mirage in the desert those that ride the roads know it well. The color spectrum of an oil spill on asphalt. It’s not a ghost or an illusion. It’s an optical effect caused by the iridescence of light when fuels mix with water.
This was our inspiration to design this jacket. El Solitario's Ltd. Ed. Spectrum Jacket will never be seen in the same way during daylight or even at the darkest hour with its reflective details on the chest and back.
Our jacket uses disruptively-structured microscopic glass spheres, invisible to the naked eye, that when light hits the jacket, it travels through the curved surface of these black glass spheres and strikes the back of them, before being reflected back at the original light source and scattered away from it simultaneously, so that the fabric creates mesmerizing patterns.
Just like the spectrum of an oil spill on asphalt El Solitario Spectrum Jacket can appear to be every possible colour all at once.
